Our approach

We want this shop to work for everyone who visits it, on whatever device and with whatever assistive technology they use.

What the site does today

• A skip to content link is the first thing keyboard users reach.
• The menu and search open as proper dialogs — they trap focus, close on Escape, and return focus to the control that opened them.
• Text meets the WCAG AA contrast minimum against its background.
• The layout works from 360px upward without sideways scrolling.
• Motion respects your reduce motion setting; animated sequences fall back to instant transitions.
• Product images carry descriptive alternative text.
• Basket changes are announced to screen readers as they happen.

Where we know we fall short

• Not every product has a full written description yet, so screen-reader users get less detail on some items than we would like.
• We have not yet completed a full audit on physical assistive technology — only in emulation.
